Batman: Arkham Knight developer Rocksteady Studios has finally confirmed its next project will be based on DC Comics‘ villainous Suicide Squad. After longstanding rumors that the team would be taking on a Superman project, Rocksteady released an official teaser image of The Man of Steel in crosshairs that read “Suicide Squad.”

It has been five years since the studio has developed a new title, but rumors of a new Suicide Squad game began surfacing last month. A series of internet domains like “SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com” were registered by a company affiliated with Warner Bros. According to Eurogamer, another domain named titled “gothamknightsgame.com” was noted as being a separate title being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, who also developed Batman: Arkham Origins. Eurogamer also suggests that not much will be seen for the Suicide Squad game outside of an announcement, as both titles are being developed for next-gen consoles.

Although official details are scares, it appears the game will be from the perspective of the villains this time around. Warner Bros. announced last month that it would be hosting a virtual fan event called DC FanDome on August 22. Rocksteady’s tweet confirms fans will learn more about the upcoming title there.

In other gaming news, Nintendo’s profits saw a 400 percent increase since COVID-19.
