McDonald's Preps Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Chips Ahoy! McFlurry
Coming with “Mighty Hot Sauce.”
McDonald’s is dialing up the heat with its upcoming Spicy Chicken McNuggets, marking the menu item’s first flavor iteration since its debut in 1983. Coinciding with this, McDonald’s is also offering a collaborative Chips Ahoy! McFlurry to allow spice enthusiasts to cool off from the hotness.
The McNuggets will be breaded with a crispy tempura coating, infused with cayenne and chili peppers. It will come with a brand-new dipping sauce called the “Mighty Hot Sauce” that will “undoubtedly have mouths steaming,” according to McDonald’s. It’s made up of a rich mix of crushed red peppers and chilis, topped off with garlic and subtle notes of sweetness — the fast-food chain’s first new dipping sauce in the US since 2017.
Teaming up with Chips Ahoy!, the new McFlurry will feature chunky bits of cookie pieces, blended into McDonald’s familiar creamy vanilla soft serve, while light caramel swirls finish off the treat.
McDonald’s Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Chips Ahoy! McFlurry is set to launch nationwide on September 16.
