John Geiger's 002 Arrives in "Black Marble" Colorway
A luxe design for an iconic silhouette.
John Geiger’s eponymous sneaker imprint has finally unveiled a new “Black Marble” colorway for its iconic 002 silhouette. Drawing from the idea that black marble has always been a symbol of luxury, Geiger transformed the marble’s smooth and variegated surface into a flawless all-over design. The highly-anticipated shoe follows the “White Marble” 002 Low and “Black Marble” 002 High.
A Neoprene upper offers a design of the black marble, while hints of blue hues are found throughout the sneaker. The intricate accents give each pair a one-of-one look, making no two pairs the same. A black toggle-and-pull is added to the sneaker, contrasting with the white outsole. Two sets of laces, which encircle the shaft and can be tightened or loosened according to fit, arrive in a slightly darker-hued version of the brand’s signature black and white colorway. Contrasting white zig-zag stitching wraps around the ankle towards the toes.
Take a closer look at the Black Marble 002s in the slideshow above. The sneaker will drop on John Geiger’s website today at 12 p.m. EDT for $350 USD.
Elsewhere, Maison Margiela has crafted a set of high-top Replicas in a “Black Caviar” colorway.
