Mountain Research releases another version of its Medicom Toy Mountain Man plastic figure. While the last release saw the H39.5cm x W16.5cm x D16.5cm figure made from glow-in-the-dark material, this one opts for a vivid orange makeover.

The long-standing Mountain Man(s) series from Kobayashi Setsumasa pays homage to philosophers and historic leaders in the form of these plastic figurines — often depicted with outdoor/hiking gear. This time around, American philosopher, poet, and essayist, Henry David Thoreau is immortalized on an orange pedestal with his full beard, hiking boots, and fully-packed travel backpack.

Those interested in picking up this version of the Mountain Research x Medicom Toy Mountain Man in orange can head over to Trading Post where it retails for $225 USD.

In other design news, axis mundi’s XYZ House takes the shape of a corten steel cruciform.
