Kid Cudi season has arrived and new music is on the way. The rapper, singer-songwriter turned actor took to Twitter today and, with some special help from his daughter Vada Wamwene Mescudi, revealed that his next song titled “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady” will feature Eminem and release Friday, July 10.
The new offering will most likely be a part of his upcoming Entergalactic album (which has since been confirmed to coincide with an official Netflix series spearheaded by Kenya Barris). It follows his first solo music in four years with “Leader of the Delinquents” from April.
Even though Cudi’s musical output has been sporadic over the past two years since his collaborative album with Kanye West in Kids See Ghosts, he’s remained highly visible through side projects and high-profile features. He recently announced his All Love No Shit Talkin’ podcast. His “THE SCOTTS” collaboration with Travis Scott debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marked the largest Spotify streaming debut of 2020.
There’s no word yet on the production team behind “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady” but stay tuned. Mike Dean did reveal to HYPEBEAST that he was hard at work with Cudi for his next studio album in an interview earlier this year. Be on the lookout for Eminem and Kid Cudi’s collaborative effort to drop this Friday.
