Lil Wayne confirmed in a recent Variety interview that his Tha Carter series will see a sixth installment.

When asked which album in the revered series was his favorite, Weezy provided a compelling one-sentence answer: “My favorite Carter album is the next one.” The answer, of course, alludes to the followup of 2018’s Tha Carter V, although Wayne didn’t share any more relevant information about the next project.

Tunechi’s last project was the lengthy 24-track album Funeral, released in January 2020 and featured appearances from Big Sean, Lil Baby, 2 Chainz and Takeoff, along with production from Mannie Fresh, Murda Beatz, Mike WiLL Made-It and Cool & Dre.

In related news, Lil Wayne’s Free Weezy Album is finally on Spotify and Apple Music after five years.
