FILA Launches Pistons-Inspired Grant Hill 3 and V94M "GH3ONE3"
Fresh takes on two classic silhouettes, with colors pulled from vintage Pistons uniforms.
FILA is paying homage to Grant Hill‘s days with the Detroit Pistons by releasing “GH3ONE3” takes on the Grant Hill 3 and V94M runner. Hill was selected third overall in the 1994 NBA draft by the Pistons — and played there until 2000, when he was traded to the Orlando Magic — so both of these retro silhouettes are dressed in period-appropriate color schemes that nod to the Pistons’ uniforms from 1996-2001. Even the name of the pack salutes the Motor City: it’s a stylized nod to Detroit’s 313 area code.
Dressed in an appealing mix of teal, red, yellow, white and black, the Grant Hill 3, also referred to as the FILA 97, serves up a healthy dose of retro hoops style. A full set of Pistons colors appears above a large white mudguard with elongated oval graphics and a FILA logo. More colorful FILA branding runs down the tongue as well.
Elsewhere, the V94M uses a teal mesh base, overlaid with swooping yellow and red leather stripes. Black suede adds murky flair into the mix, with white mudguards, midsoles and logo-equipped heel pieces rounding off the look.
The FILA Grant Hill 3 is available now via the FILA webstore, and the V94M will release August 5. The Grant Hill 3 is priced at $125 USD, while the V94M arrives at $110 USD.
