KennyHoopla has dropped off a live performance video for “thinkingoutloud//,” the opening cut from his recent project how will i rest in peace if i’m buried by a highway?//.

The monochromatic visual utilizes VHS-like quality and sees the post-genre musician alone in a room, contradicting the track’s fast-paced sonic structure. His solo appearance is an ode to his budding artistry, as the video’s simplicity is more than enough to capture the listener’s undivided attention.

“I just shot it in my friends basement. It felt sentimental to do it close to home and intimate,” he told HYPEBEAST. “I wanted to make a good home for the song live and keep it straight forward. Black and white is a timeless way to not get to distracted, there is less things to judge and more easy to be transparent I feel.”

Elsewhere in music, Logic dropped a visual for “Aquarius III.”
