ERL SS21 Bridges the "Endless Summer" Between High School and College
A care-free, collegiate-indebted collection designed by Eli Russell Linnetz.

ERL by Eli Russell Linnetz has presented its Spring/Summer 2021 collection “Endless Summer” in a fittingly laid-back lookbook.
Presenting at Dover Street Market Paris Men’s SS21 showroom, ERL taps into Linnetz’s youth and the brand’s Venice Beach, Los Angeles background for a collegiate-indebted collection. This is the brand’s second offering, following on from a beach-inspired Fall/Winter 2020 drop.
For SS21, ERL bridges the “Endless Summer” between high school and college. Pieces incorporate varsity and collegiate iconography and are modeled by an apt cast of Linnetz’s friends, each a local surfer from his Alma Mater, Santa Monica high school.
The collection offers all of the components of an ERL wardrobe. T-shirts are unpretentious, appearing worn-in and washed-out with simple graphics such as the word “SUN” gracing the front. There’s a nod to fraternities and sororities with T-shirts sporting Greek letters on them, and ERL also presents varsity elements with its “Coyotes” mesh V-neck top.
Elsewhere, ERL delivers a collection of underwear spanning everything from briefs to long johns, as well as shorts, jersey bottoms that look like training pants, an earing that reads “ATΩ,” as well as touch of formality with button-up shirts and a standout cowhide jacket.
Check out the ERL “Endless Summer” SS21 collection in the lookbook above. The collection will release through Dover Street Market and various other outposts around the world in the coming months. ERL is also expected to release its first-ever fragrance with COMME des GARÇONS PARFUMS later this year.
