Luxury e-tailer Mytheresa has released an exclusive 46-piece menswear capsule collection with Gucci, delivering ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear that sits alongside the house’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection.
The capsule is typical of Alessandro Michele, serving us silks, nods to the 1970s, and quintessential Gucci touches such as overtly bold “GG” motifs and nods to the brand’s heritage with plenty of horsebit detailing.
Mytheresa and Gucci have enlisted the Australian band Parcels to star in a lookbook and a music video, in which they are decked head-to-toe in the new Gucci capsule. Some of the standouts from the exclusive drop include a Horsebit 1955 duffel bag in green with gold-toned horsebit buckles, the complementing shoulder bag which is essentially a smaller pocket-version of the previous bag, as well as the linen and cotton double-breasted blazer in “Limestone Yellow” the features a vintage cuff tag in red and gold, featuring Gucci branding alongside a french motto that translates to “Gucci whatever the season.”
Continuing the essence of vintage luxury is a wide range of silks comprising pocket squares and ties, as well as a two-piece “GG” motif windowpane suit in brown. The collection’s accessories and more subtle pieces could be perfectly paired with anything in the 46-piece capsule, which is rounded out with ribbed socks, tasseled leather moccasins, a variety of cozy hats, turtleneck sweaters, sunglasses and more.
