Kyrie Irving Salutes His Big Sister With Nike Kyrie 6 "Asia"
Family’s first on Kyrie’s latest kicks.

Kyrie Irving and his Brooklyn Nets are undeniably champing at the bit for the NBA season to resume in late July, but until then fans of the mercurial point guard can tide themselves over with Nike‘s new Kyrie 6 “Asia.” Inspired by Kyrie’s older sister Asia, the shoes present a potent purple camo-based colorway that’s seemingly equal parts BAPE and Purple Haze-era Cam’Ron.
Sumptuous Swooshes and powerful purples are the name of the game on the upper. The forefoot and midfoot are dressed in a multi-toned purple camo pattern, with collars and midfoot straps offering a soft lilac shade. On the lateral side, the Swoosh decends sharply with dual-layered lilac and red embroidery, and is contrasted by a small purple Swoosh on the tip of the strap. Moving to the medial side, there’s a more standard regal purple Swoosh, and a red “Asia” graphic with a heart surrounded by more camo on the strap’s anchor.
This “Asia” embellishment is repeated on the right shoe’s tongue, while the left shoe serves a standard yellow Kyrie logo. More unique red motifs appear on insoles and inner tongues, and the heel’s textured Hamsa hand is made translucent to show a scrawled globe logo surrounded by “Year of the Woman” text. Down below, light purple outsoles and midsoles loaded with Nike Basketball-tuned Zoom Turbo forefoot cushioning round off the look.
The Nike Kyrie 6 “Asia” is set to release on June 12 at Eastern stockists like Nike SNKRS Korea, and will likely roll out to Western retailers in the coming weeks. The MSRP is set at $130 USD.
