As the city of Milan transforms in the wake of coronavirus, the staff of multi-part platform Slam Jam remain under lockdown. Awaiting the light at the end of the tunnel, the team is keeping busy as there’s still much to be done on Slam Jam’s e-commerce site and in collaboration with its many partners.

Tackling the daily grind is only one aspect of self-isolation; the Slam Jam crew is also indulging in food, comfortable clothing and plentiful family time, ensuring that time spent indoors is not time wasted.

Marcello Cutrona, store manager and buyer

What’s your daily routine?

Wake up, orange juice, PlayStation, work, biking, movie, sleep, repeat.

Where in your home do you like to work?

I’ve got an open apartment, so there’s only one big room. Every spot in the room is a comfortable place.

What do you wear while working from home?

That’s the best part of quarantine. I can wear just random stuff and I love the random house style; it’s all about comfort with no compromise. Random white tee, random shorts and Keen camo slippers.

What are you eating now?

Never cooked a thing in my entire life, so my girlfriend helps me out. Chinese food rules.

How do you stay in a good headspace while in isolation?

Just keeping my mind busy and never stopping to think or mind-travel. Also, I spend three hours a day home-training with my bike. It’s a really good way to avoid getting bored when home, and afterwards you feel super tired. That’s the best, so you can easily sleep tight.

What are you doing for fun?

I listen to music, watch TV, PS4 and of course, dig through my sneaker collection. I love vintage retro running shoes from the late ‘90s and early ‘00s.

Giulia Benini, archive manager

What’s your daily routine?

First thing I make when I wake up is a triple coffee. Then, breakfast for my three beautiful daughters and I get ready for a very full day with them.

Where in your home do you like to work?

I miss the office a lot, especially Slam Jam’s archive I am now working through with my team, which is a magical place. It’s hard to stay up to speed from home but I am doing the best I can, especially through research by digging into the massive amount of items collected over the decades which are still at home.

What do you wear while working from home?

Sweatpants and fake Crocs.

What are you eating now?

A lot of vegetables. I am also learning to cook a lot of gluten-free recipes, like pizza, cookies and a lot of cakes.

How do you stay in a good headspace while in isolation?

By chasing my three daughters.

What are you listening to and doing for fun?

I am into Italian music these days, many tips came from my father Luca, like Ma Perchè by Matia Bazaar or Ti Voglio by Ornella Vanoni. Then I go back to my older daughter’s faves like Travis Scott, Sfera Ebbasta and Elettra Lamborghini.

I became a pro TikTok user while dancing with my daughters, I am now pretty into it. I found a good balance and a new routine. I’m confident we’ll be out soon if we all stay home and safe.

Gabriele Casaccia, creative director

What’s your daily routine?

It depends on how late I went to sleep the night before. I usually wake up around 8 a.m., make breakfast for my little roommate during this lockdown (my daughter, Viola), read some news, do emails, take a shower and start both the work routine and my daughter’s homework (which is actually harder than I thought).

Where in your home do you like to work?

My living room, that’s where I usually stay when at home (which is never, actually).

What do you wear while working from home?

Comfy clothes such as Nike shorts, white tees and my sandals (I strongly recommend the OOFOS ones for the home routine).

What are you eating now?

I am not a proper lunch guy even when at the office, I just have some random bits. At dinner I go for something easy to make like salad, steamed vegetables and seafood. On weekends, since I’ve got more time, I really like cooking. Last weekend I made a delicious pasta with bottarga and clams.

How do you stay in a good headspace while in isolation?

During the week, my agenda is pretty busy with calls and other work, sometimes I don’t even notice time going by so fast. Weekends at home are pretty hard, especially with this sunny weather. I try to do sports, go out for quick runs near my place (200-meter minimum), dig into my book and magazine archive and make a lot of FaceTime calls with family and friends.

What are you listening to and doing for fun?

NTS all day long. I’m also watching many series, I’ve just started Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
