Full-Length Trailer for 'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' Details the Hip-Hop Crews' Beginnings
Hulu’s latest original series arrives this September.
The full-length trailer for Hulu’s latest original, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, has arrived. Inspired by RZA’s two books, The Wu-Tang Manual and The Tao of Wu, the series was co-created by the rapper-meets-filmmaker-meets-author as well as screenwriter Alex Tse, depicting the formation and rise of the infamous New York hip-hop crew.
As the streaming giant shares, the series is “set in early ‘90s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, the show tracks the Clan’s formation, a vision of Bobby Diggs aka The RZA, who unites the men torn between music and crime but eventually rise to become the unlikeliest of American success stories.” The new trailer aptly introduces us to the series as well as the cast, diving into a vivid depiction of Ashton Sanders as RZA, Shameik Moore as Raekwon, Johnell Young as GZA, Siddiq Saunderson as Ghostface Killah, Joey Bada$$ as Inspectah Deck, Dave East as Method Man, and TJ Atoms as Ol’ Dirty Bastard.
You can check out the full-length trailer for Wu-Tang: An American Saga above. The pilot episode premieres on September 4 via Hulu.
