New Balance Goes Technical With Outdoor-Friendly 900 Strap

New Balance has added a brand new silhouette to its Spring/Summer 2020 lineup. After dropping its hybridized Shandal model last week, the American footwear label is following up with another summer-ready mold — 900 Strap.
Coming in colorways of Black/Moon,” “Black/Silver” and “Bali Blue,” the silhouette is equipped with a series of functional materials, like smooth ballistic nylon, velcro straps, nubuck and neoprene. One distinctive feature on the footwear piece is a hi-tech BOA lacing system that pulls in the sandal’s upper straps for an optimal fit. The winder is placed over supple nubuck side panels, complemented by a small “New Balance” tag that sticks out from the rear quarter. Adjustable straps at the heel and forefoot finish off the uppers of the outdoor-ready sandals. All of these features rest over a light and ergonomically molded footbed for maximum comfort and support.
New Balance’s 900 Straps are currently available on New Balance Japan’s website for $133 USD, and expect them to hit New Balance US in the coming weeks.
