Jacob Collier Taps Mahalia and Ty Dolla $ign for "All I Need"
The four-time GRAMMY winner’s ‘Djesse Vol. 3’ releases this summer.
After teaming up with Daniel Caesar for his latest lead single “Time Alone With You,” singer-songwriter Jacob Collier continues to prep the release of his upcoming Djesse Vol. 3 with another new track. This time he taps Mahalia and Ty Dolla $ign for “All I Need,” a pop-infused, melodic homage to the singular feeling of new love.
Collier has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music outside of his ongoing solo projects. The English multi-instrumentalist and four-time GRAMMY-winner recently took home Best Arrangement (Instruments and Vocals) for “All Night Long” and Best Arrangement (Instrumental or A Cappella) for his rendition of “Moon River” at the 2020 award show. On “All I Need,” is production chops are on full display, as the subtle synths and piano keys gently build up to a crescendo of moving parts with Ty Dolla $ign and Mahalia’s other-worldly vocals at the center of his latest sonic universe.
There’s no word yet on when exactly Djesse Vol. 3 will release, but Hajanga/Decca/Interscope promise it will be sometime this summer. In the meantime, revisit Jacob’s first two installments, Djesse Vol. 1 and Djesse Vol. 2. Stream the new single below.
