RAW EMOTIONS Offers Its Take on Traditional Tibetan Tiger Rugs
Featuring a playful take on the revered decoration.
Known for its bootleg Hong Kong movie T-shirts, RAW EMOTIONS has now dipped into the homeware realm with its take on the traditional Tibetan Tiger rug.
Historically, the splayed tiger rugs are tied to tantric meditation in Nepal and have stood as a key motif in Tibetan art. For decades the antique decoration has been revered all over the world but interest has surged in recent years, thanks to its evocative look.
Honoring the authentic hand-woven design, RAW EMOTIONS has created a faithful representation of the Tibetan Tiger Rug. Available in three colorways, the rugs feature a medium height looped pile treated to express bright and bold color.
Accompanying the classic look is a neon-accented take and a glacial-inspired colorway of the splayed design. Additionally, RAW EMOTIONS has collaborated with Hong Kong-based retailer 432Hz on an exclusive playful cartoon style illustration Ugly Tiger Rug. Each decorative item is complete with thick selvedge borders on the sides and a RAW EMOTIONS branding tag.
Priced between $95 and $245 USD, the Tibetan Tiger Rugs are available now in small, medium and large with a full size restock April 24 on RAW EMOTIONS’ website alongside its Spring/Summer 2020 collection. While the Ugly Tiger Rug retails for $680 HKD (approximately $87 USD) exclusively at 432Hz.
