DIVINITIES Taps Into Nostalgia for Spring 2020
Referencing Winona Ryder, Sade, ‘Office Space,’ and more.
Los Angeles streetwear imprint DIVINITIES is back with its latest pop culture flips for its Spring 2020 offerings. Following its Winter 2019 collection, the reference-fueled label has offered up a variety of T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and various cut & sew pieces that tap into ‘90s and 2000s nostalgia.
Various highlights of the range include a hooded sweatshirt toting a still of Winona Ryder in 1988’s Heathers, a sweatsuit referencing Sade’s 2009 album Soldier of Love, as well as 1999’s classic cult comedy, Office Space. Outside of its characteristic offering of graphic tees, DIVINITIES has put together an M65-styled jacket blouson with an eye graphic on the sleeve and two velcro patches at the front, loosely-tailored denim featuring an all-over screenprint, and a black workwear-style jacket featuring uneven “DIVINITIES” text at the front. Rounding out the collection is a Louisville Slugger with “If You Ain’t First, You’re Last” text found at the center. An accompanying video showcasing the bat in action can be viewed below.
