maharishi Bolsters Its Military-Infused Offerings for Summer 2020
From kimono hoodies to M60-styled jackets.

After dropping off a range of spring releases over the past month, including its technical “2020VISION” collection for SS20, British military-infused streetwear imprint maharishi has now presented its latest lookbook for the 2020 Summer season.
Leaning towards functionally-geared textiles for the summer ahead, breathable fabrics such as a silk-like, vegetable-dyed Japanese cupro, a water-repellent cotton blend, and hemp and organic cotton can all be found. The brand has also employed its latest “Neo Rain” DPM camo, which draws from East Germany’s rain camo and fuses it alongside the United States’ Chocolate-Chip Desert Battle Dress Uniform. New this season is the Ikat cotton, which features a custom weave designed to mimic Strichtarn rain camouflage — the pattern is formed from resist-dyed and tie-dyed cotton yarns, which are then handloom woven to form the finished fabric.
The pieces in the Summer 2020 range continue to exemplify the imprint’s unique infusion of streetwear and military, spotlighted against the backdrop of Miami. Highlights in the range include an all-over print Cargo Smock, the Orion Hooded Kimono hoodie in pink, as well as an upcycled M60-styled chore jacket with mismatch textiles.
