'BRUTUS Magazine' Exhibits NOAH SS20 in "Two Bridges" Editorial
A stylized tribute to the brand’s Lower East Side origins.
Though NOAH‘s Spring/Summer 2020 selection is informed by beachy design ethos, the label’s wares are right at home amidst the hustle and bustle of its native New York City. BRUTUS Magazine takes that sense of origin very seriously with its “Two Bridges” editorial, spotlighting the brand’s new collection nearby the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
Offering a more mature aesthetic than Japanese menswear magazines like the on-hiatus GRIND or POPEYE, BRUTUS blends a taste for refined homewares with automobiles, pets, watches, food and fashion. The “Two Bridges” shots are stylized with this elevated eye, with a soft focus lending the rain-slicked streets and understated styling a retro feel.
Patterned harrington jackets, rugby shirts and tailoring co-mingles with equally-vivid trousers and chunky leather shoes, primly offsetting the youthful ethos. Still, NOAH-branded anoraks, paisley trousers and branded sweat shorts can’t be entirely restrained with muted accessorizing, contrasting against the desaturated city backdrop with bold clashing color.
