Lil Tjay Ventures to a Tropical Island for New "Sex Sounds" Music Video
From last year’s ‘True 2 Myself.’
Lil Tjay is back with another new visual from his standout project True 2 Myself from last October with “Sex Sounds.” It’s a pop leaning, piano driven offering where Tjay can show off his vocal chops and court his ever-growing female fanbase. The video is reminiscent of early 2000 rap videos featuring tropical cabana beds and journeys through paths heavily shaded by palm trees.
“First I met you on the ‘Gram, I picked you up and took you out/ Let me show you what I’m ’bout/ Let them haters run they mouth/ You should know you somethin’ different ’cause I brought you to my house/ Serve you breakfast on my couch/ Anything you ever need you know I’ll be there with no doubt,” he sings.
Tjay kicked off his year by dropping a series of freestyles highlighted by “20/20”. He then honored his late friend and frequent collaborator Pop Smoke with “Forever Pop” after the tragic loss of the rising Brooklyn rapper.
“Being true to myself is just, at the end of the day, any situation, I just put myself first. You gotta love yourself, that’s one thing that I live by. Even just being locked up you only got yourself, so you gotta stay in your own headspace and always stay true,” the rapper told HYPEBEAST in his Conversations With episode last year.
