Hästens to Launch Luxe $400K USD Bed Owned by Drake
In collaboration with designer Ferris Rafauli.

Tomorrow, Swedish luxury bed maker Hästens will launch its luxurious bed called Grand Vividus with world-renowned designer Ferris Rafauli. Owned by fans like Drake, the Grand Vividus sells for $400,000 USD and combines comfort, craftsmanship and luxury. Rafauli, who helped design the Canadian rapper’s mansion in Toronto, took inspiration from Hästens’s heritage and history as bed and saddle-makers to create a new mattress experience.
Available in black and navy blue, the bed boasts a mattress meticulously crafted with wool, cotton, and horsehair. Made to last at least 50 years, each ultra-plush mattress is upholstered by hand. It also features “Grand Vividus” and “Life Well Lived” in gold embroidery, while a horse pattern based on Hästens’ iconic horse insignia, covers the woven cotton fabric.
Like the mattress, a checkerboard print covers the entirety of the luggage-like bed frame, while textured leather is used for the corners and decorative handles. Referencing the buckles and studs on horse saddles, the Grand Vividus is adorned with a nameplate secured with golden brass studs.
The first Grand Vividus was bought by Drake, who showed readers the bed in his recent Architectural Digest feature. Otherwise, the first 10 beds have been reserved through Hästens LA and Hästens NYC.
