Buddy and Kent Jamz Connect for 'Janktape Vol. 1'
The Los Angeles duo flex their chemistry on 10 new tracks.
Los Angeles rappers Buddy and Kent Jamz have teamed up for their new full-length collaborative effort Janktape Vol. 1, out today via RCA Records. The close friends connected for 10 new tracks, flexing their undeniable chemistry following last year’s single “Hollyhood” single from Buddy’s upcoming sophomore record slated to release later this year.
The project kicks off with “She Think,” a song that sets the tone for the entire project. It’s melodic and introspective with some serious storytelling chops mixed in with a catchy chorus. “In Search Of” plays out like a near-direct N.E.R.D reference with pop-infused instrumentation from Ricci Riera. The outro, “Heatwave” will leave you wanting more, which luckily is a very real possibility. The Vol. 1 title promises more to come in the future. Listen to the full album below.
