Chance The Rapper Teams Up With Lil Wayne and Young Thug on "Instagram Song 8"
Wayne recently clarified he and Thug were on good terms.
Chance The Rapper‘s ongoing streak of releasing new singles and loosies via Instagram now reaches the eighth straight day with “Instagram Song 8” featuring uncredited appearances by Lil Wayne and Young Thug.
The trio are at their respective best throughout the song’s nearly four minute runtime, with Chance delivering some quick-witted verses describing his walk-in closet, Swiss bank accounts and aspirations for an all-white coffin. Wayne continues his hot-streak post Funeral while Thugger delivers a verse full of clarity and melody.
Chance last paired with Lil Wayne on “No Problem” and Young Thug on “Mixtape”, each from his critically acclaimed 2016 project Coloring Book. What’s more impressive though, is the fact that Chance managed to pair Thug and Wayne on the same track given their half-decade long and highly publicized feud. Lil Wayne did recently clarify that the two were on good terms in an interview with REVOLT, but whether he knew this particular Chance track would feature Young Thug remains to be seen.
Earlier during Chance’s week-long “Instagram Song” run, he previewed a track with Daniel Caesar. He also hinted at an upcoming collaboration with Vic Mensa titled “New Throne”.
There’s no word on whether these songs will be available on traditional streaming services, so enjoy them while you can. In more music news, Jamie xx released his first essential mix in nine years.
