Cassowary Drops Mellow New Single "Starlight"
The latest track from the artist’s upcoming album.
Cassowary has just dropped off another smooth single from his upcoming, self-titled debut album. Dubbed “Starlight,” the mellow track is yet another jazz-infused representation of Cassowary’s instrumentalist expertise.
The 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Miles Shannon, has already kicked off the year with other song releases that are slated to be on his first project. Last month, he shared an experimental tune called “Moth” that fused traditional and modern elements of jazz. And in February, he found himself in a dating apps wasteland for his “Belt Notch!” music video.
The musician has also shared groovy records like “She Funked Me” and “Price Went Up” in recent months, which are all expected to be on the album. Cassowary is produced, composed and arranged by the artist himself, with select contributions from friends including bassist Aidan McDonough and drummer Sean Tavella. Listen to “Starlight” now in the video above, and look out for the album to release on April 24 via Fat Possum Records.
Elsewhere in music, Bryson Tiller recently dropped the sensual new single “Slept On You.”
