Bugatti Begins Delivery of Its $5.8 Million USD 1,500-Horsepower Divo Hypercar
Only 40 made for existing Chiron owners.
Unveiled back in 2018, French high-performance automaker Bugatti‘s Divo hypercar is finally being delivered. The car itself is based on the chassis of the Chiron, but with completely re-imagined carbon fiber bodywork under the direction of Achim Anscheidt, it weighs 77 pounds less, and is much more aerodynamic thanks to various air inlets and the front spoiler. Performance-wise, it holds the same 8.0-L W16 engine as the Chiron, capable of pushing out an incredible 1,500 horsepower and 0-60mph in just 2.4 seconds. Handling has been fine-tuned after a whopping 5,000 kilometers on various tracks and courses, including the Nürburgring Nordschleife itself. With only 40 made, each Divo will set you back $5.8 million USD.
“With the Divo, Bugatti is reviving a long-forgotten coachbuilding tradition,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti. “The limited and extremely high-performance hyper sports car has its own exclusive character, features enhanced lateral acceleration, agility and cornering characteristics and is an absolute must-have for any Bugatti enthusiast’s hyper sports car collection. With the new design of the Divo and its completely different handling performance, we have succeeded in creating a true masterpiece of automotive craftsmanship that fully revives our long-standing tradition of coachbuilding.”
