Bones Is in Self-Isolation in New "KeepTellingYourselfThat" Music Video
A track from his 2016 project ‘Useless.’
Michigan-born rapper Bones has released a music video for a track from his 2016 project Useless called “KeepTellingYourselfThat.” Although it appears the music video, released under his TeamSESH imprint, was recorded last year, it is also timely given the current COVID-19 quarantine.
In the Darkwave-directed visuals above, we can see the rapper living inside a bubble amongst nature. He can be seen wearily reading books, eating non-perishable food, and looks at the stars. Towards the end of the visuals, Bones puts on a hazmat suit and walks outside.
The track, produced by Vegard Veslelia, also touches on other rappers being stuck in their own bubbles while also being the same in the first and second verses. The instrumental also samples “S.T.A.Y.” from composer Hans Zimmer for 2014’s Interstellar film.
