As confirmed by Variety, Dawson’s role marks the first live-action appearance of Tano after being voiced by Ashley Eckstein in the animated show. Not a lot is known about the impact of Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2, but her presence makes for an interesting one seeing as Jon Favreau‘s show takes place between the end of the fall of the Empire and the rise of the First Order.
Season 1 of The Mandalorian ended with Mando (Pedro Pascal) flying off to search for Baby Yoda‘s home planet. Favreau announced the arrival of Season 2 in late 2019, with the next installment scheduled to hit Disney+ this October 2020.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Akira is hitting IMAX theaters in stunning 4K resolution.
