RM Sotheby’s consistently brings the most desirable automobiles on the planet to auction, with no plans to stop soon, thanks to its online-only Palm Beach Auction. Headlining the lot is a striking Porsche 911 GT2 from 1996, in pristine condition and of limited supply.
One of only 194 street versions produced, this GT2 sports the versatile Polar Silver exterior and a mere 18,712 miles on the odometer. Only recently imported from a Japanese collecter, the car boasts original factory detailing that includes electric windows, air conditioning and a black and grey interior, complete with lightweight leather bucket seats. Though it’s capable of 430hp, with 457 foot-pounds of torque with the twin turbos pushing out 13 psi, this hardcore GT2 has been properly cared for over its 24 years of existence, reflected in its generous estimate.
Bidding is now live on the RM Sotheby’s site until March 28, with an estimated final bid of $950,000 USD – $1,100,000 USD.
