Liv.e Performs Unreleased Tracks in Live "Quarantine" Session
Featuring an untitled track with Los Angeles rapper Maxo.
Last month, singer-songwriter Liv.e dropped her smooth and sultry “LazyEaterBetsOnHerLikeness” track after releasing her first standout single of the year, “SirLadyMakemFall.” In a new live session, Liv.e includes a Steve Kuhn cover, tracks from her upcoming album Couldn’t Wait To Tell You, and a new untitled track with Los Angeles-based rapper Maxo. “My name is Liv, and you’re under quarantine with me,” the singer says before transitioning into a cover of Kuhn’s “Thoughts Of A Gentleman.”
Her soft yet powerful vocals infused with nostalgic R&B take on “She Stay Conflicted, I Hope He Understands,” before joining Maxo for a playful duet. “Put a roof over my head when you shut me in/Won’t complain too much, just make sure you stop by,” she croons. “Put a pillow under my head when you tuck me in/So I can dream of the things I can’t buy.” She raps up the session for those in self-isolation with “LazyEaterBetsOnHerLikeness,” which calls out to a past partner and airs out her regrets of putting too much faith on him returning.
Couldn’t Wait To Tell You is set to release in April via Real Life. In the meantime, check out Liv.e’s live session in the video above.
