'The Mandalorian' Season 2 Confirmed for an October Return
Baby Yoda returns earlier than expected.

After season 2 was confirmed by show-runner Jon Favreau late last year, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company Bob Iger has just confirmed all-new episodes of The Mandalorian will release this October exclusively on Disney+.
Iger confirmed the news via an earnings call on Tuesday evening. In addition to announcing The Mandalorian‘s return date, Iger also hinted that potential spin-offs are in the works citing, “the possibility of infusing it with more characters and taking those characters in their own direction in terms of series.” This will also be added to what Disney+ already has in store such as a Rogue One prequel starring Cassian Andor (played by Diego Luna) and a new series about Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The Mandalorian has been a huge success for Disney+, and is one of the reasons why the new streaming site has garnered over 28 million subscribers since its launch in November.
So far an exact date for the The Mandalorian‘s return has yet to be shared, but keep it locked here for more details when they arise. The second season arrives a month earlier, seeing as the The Mandalorian premiered on November 12, 2019.

Iger pretty much confirms there will be more seasons of Mando after the second, adds there’s a “possibility of taking those characters [in Mando] in their own directions.” Spinoffs?
