Nike Zoom Freak 1 "Cream City" Matches Milwaukee's City Edition Jerseys
A perfect paring for the Bucks’ cream-colored alternate uniforms.
The indefinite suspension of the 2019-20 NBA season had to be a tough pill to swallow for the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The team had the best record in the league and the Greek Freak was a frontrunner for the MVP award, which would have been his second in a row. However, Antetokounmpo’s signature Nike Basketball line is rolling along unimpeded, with the Zoom Freak 1 set to release in a “Cream City” colorway.
A colorful nod to the Bucks’ City Edition “Cream City” jerseys, these backward Swoosh-equipped basketball shoes feature a lightweight, 5/8 cut cream mesh upper. This is accented by uniform-appropriate flipped blue Swooshes rising above the midsoles — which offer a white-to-tan gradient fade and a speckled print, plus double-stacked Zoom Air in the heel for responsive comfort.
Outsoles are dressed in blue and white, and Giannis’s famous nickname is debossed on the toe bumpers. Moving back up top, tan tongues and heels are both equipped with classic forest green Bucks accents. The former adds Giannis’s signature logo and the latter presents his #34, while green trim around the collar finalizes the stylings.
The Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Cream City” will release at retailers like Renarts and Foot Locker on April 1, and is priced at $120 USD.
