Ronnie Fieg Debuts Japan-Themed KITH x Nike Air Force 1
Appearing on the cover of Japanese footwear magazine Shoes Master.

After revealing an inaugural KITH x Nike Air Force 1 collaboration in November 2019, Ronnie Fieg has taken to his Instagram to debut a new Japan-themed KITH AF1. Appearing on the cover of Japanese footwear magazine Shoes Master, KITH and Nike‘s latest Forces offer a crisp look with some dashing details — and may serve as a lead-in to the brand’s long-rumored plans of placing a store in Tokyo.
In classic Air Force 1 style, the uppers are constructed of a crisp white leather, with a tonal debossed KITH logo print added to the quarter panel. A miniature embroidered red Swoosh on the lateral forefoot teams up with a silky red sockliner and red “KITH AIR” heel branding to provide bright flair, while the main midfoot Swoosh opts to stay tonal. The most unique embellishment, however, is present on the tongue tag, where a Japanese flag graphic sits under a white KITH text motif. Down below, an aged sail midsole and outsole finalize the stylings.
Where last year’s Forces were believed to be a friends-and-family release, rumors have been swirling that this pair may be a retail version. A release date, price and potential KITH Tokyo opening have yet to be announced or confirmed — and may very well have been delayed by the continued spread of the novel coronavirus — but more info is likely to surface soon.
Japan recently received a welcome Air Max Day surprise, with a shock drop of the Adapt Auto Max “Motherboard” going down exclusively on Nike SNKRS JP.
