Nike React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 Is Fully Laceless
Nike Running’s latest laceless style is simultaneously streamlined and supportive.

Nike Running has unveiled its latest laceless silhouette: the React Phantom Run Flyknit 2. Debuting in black/white and white/black colorways, the React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 is equal parts streamlined and supportive, an apt follow-up to 2019’s React Phantom Run Flyknit. However, where the first iteration took more after the Epic React Flyknit 2, this second model seemingly draws from the React Infinity Run instead.
With a full Flyknit construction, uppers offer tremendous flexibility and breathability. These features don’t come at the expense of support, however. Toeboxes are loose-knit, while the midfoot and heel are woven more tightly, and feature overarching cables around the foot’s bridge to ensure a locked-in feel. This is furthered by a plastic heel clip, while heel and tongue pull tabs ensure you can step in and slide out with ease. Down below, a beefy React midsole ensures signature soft comfort.
From a looks standpoint, both colorways offer a stark style. The black and white pair presents a more yin and yang mix, while the white/black pair uses an airy base sprinkled with dark accents and steel grey hues. Branding is largely kept to a minimum, with small Swooshes on the forefoot and heel clip plus text graphics on the aforementioned tabs and a large hit on each insole.
The Nike React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 is available now at Nike Japan, and retails for a tax-included price of ¥17,600 JPY (approximately $157 USD).
