Jayson Tatum Debuts Delectable Air Jordan 34 PE "Taco Jay"
Not just for Tuesdays.
Jayson Taytum is known for hitting the court in Air Jordan 34 PEs influenced by some of his favorite food, and the power forward’s latest pick takes inspiration from a certain Mexican dish that he loves eating with his family after games.
Dubbed the “Taco Jay,” the basketball silhouette’s mesh and synthetic upper arrives in a hue of yellow-orange to resemble the food’s crunchy corn tortilla base. Toppings like chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and shredded Cotija cheese are sprinkled all over as hints of red make their way on to the eyelets and pull-tab, green on the extended tongue detailing and muted orange on the lacing. Evident branding can be found on the Boston Celtics player’s tongue logo — switched out with the Flight logo on the regular iteration — a fused taco and swoosh emblem on the heel and the name of his son printed on the inner, finally resting on a yellow-orange and green midsole.
