Nike Gives the Air Force 1 Jewel a Chicago Bulls-Inspired Makeover
“Black/University Red” pinstripes.

Just a few days ago, we saw Nike giving its classic Air Force 1 a modern update with the “White/LT Smoke Gray” Nike AF1 React D/MS/X. This time around, the American footwear giant has opted for a design more grounded in the past, honoring Chicago Bulls uniform from the late ’90s over the Air Force 1 Jewel silhouette.
Embracing a bold “Black/University Red” colorway, the sneakers boast thin red embroidered pinstripes throughout the body against a smooth black leather foundation. A “Nike Air” patch logo is placed at the top of the tongue, followed by round striped rope laces that cover the central forefoot. At the back, “Chicago” is etched on the heel counter under a mini-Swoosh, complemented by lush black pony-hair fabrics. Besides the red pinstripe detailing found along the rear quarter and toecap, the midsection panel and the toebox have been kept black and minimal, while a glossy red mini-Swoosh is placed at the sidewalls. All of these features sit atop a crisp white midsole, offsetting the dark uppers for a refreshing contrast.
The Nike Air Force 1 Jewel “Black/University Red” is currently available on Nike’s website for $140 USD.
