After releasing a muted “Mint/White” iteration of the 997 last month, New Balance has returned with another lush rendition of the silhuoette, this time giving it a soft pastel makeover: a suede-tinged M997SOA in light “Seasonal Colors.”
The sneakers are dominated by a rich arrangement of subdued palettes in delicate pigskin suede. Starting at the top is a vibrant pink tongue, accented by white “New Balance” and “Made in USA” embroidery. A creamy-ecru tone appears at the heel counter, next to a white rubber overlay that matches the shade of the shoe’s laces. Stretching from the lower heel to the rear quarter is a royal blue color, complemented by a light gray midsection panel that’s embellished with a double-stacked “N” logo. As a finishing touch, the toecap sees a mint-green hue around a vintage-like mesh toebox, while a crisp midsole with stabilizing ENCAP technology rounds up the sneaker’s design.
Though no official release dates have been confirmed, the New Balance M997SOA Made in USA “Seasonal Colors” is slated to arrive soon at 43einhalb’s website for $244 USD.
