Honda Teases Upcoming Collaboration With 'Evangelion'
With three promo videos featuring Shinji, Asuka and Rei.
Out of nowhere, Honda recently released teasers for an upcoming collaboration with Hideaki Anno’s manga/anime series Evangelion.
The Japanese automobile manufacturer also launched a site with a countdown for seven days inspired by the internal battery countdown timer tied to EVA units. The collaboration is reportedly centered around the Civic Hatchback car accompanied by the hashtags: #シン・アオヤマ作戦 (Shin Aoyama Operation) and #シン・シビック (Shin Civic) that could be related to the last installment of the Rebuild film series titled Evangelion: 3.0+1.0. Although not much is known about the team-up, three promo videos featuring Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Soryu and Rei Ayanami, which mean something with the colors tied to the EVA pilots could appear.
