Anicorn’s New ‘Evangelion’ Collection Revisits the First Encounter

Anicorn has announced its latest collaboration, teaming up with the iconic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion to launch the “NGE” Collection. Reconstructing the pivotal first encounter between Evangelion Test Type-01 and The 3rd Angel (Sachiel) across timepieces, jewelry, and artwork, the drop translates the series’ opposing identities into striking objects of design. Anchoring the collection are two highly distinct watches. The first is the Evangelion Test Type-01 Automatic, featuring a black stainless-steel case and a layered dial framework with green numerals, orange details, and a purple inner bezel that mimics the mecha’s armored structure. Powered by an automatic movement visible through a red NERV-printed caseback, this model is priced at $820 USD and paired with a black metal bracelet detailed with embossed warning stripes.
Serving as the visual counterpoint is The 3rd Angel Quartz watch, which retails for $250 USD. Defined by deliberate restraint, its glossy black dial strips away conventional hour markers in favor of Sachiel’s sculpted face at 12 o’clock and an exposed red core at 6 o’clock. The minimalist 39.1mm stainless-steel watch operates via a Miyota 2025 quartz movement and includes an A.T. Field-inspired geometric motif integrated into the crown. Further extending the thematic universe, the collection also offers a black Evangelion Test Type-01 Cuff Bracelet and two EVANGELION Metal Prints, featuring iconic scenes from the anime.
To accompany the collection’s release, Anicorn is launching the “Global Synchronization Project,” an interactive social media campaign where fans can raise the “Global Sync Rate” to unlock exclusive campaign rewards during the first two weeks. Eligible buyers of The 3rd Angel Quartz will receive a custom pin, while purchasers of the Evangelion Test Type-01 Automatic will be rewarded with a Golden EVA-01 Cuff.
