Converse Tokyo Delivers Smart Layers in Sunny SS20 Lookbook
Loosely tailored essentials.

Last year, Converse Tokyo highlighted an expansive range of garments against the minimal backdrop of its studio-set Fall/Winter 2019 lookbook. As a follow-up, the Japanese label has returned with its latest seasonal lineup, this time showcasing an assemblage of smart layers on a sunny coastal island.
The new collection spans a series of casual staples and loosely tailored garments like pinstripe button-ups, clean black trousers, trench coats, pleated pants, graphic T-shirts and beige jackets that have been colored in a wide array of warm-weather palettes. One noteworthy piece is a beige parka made from a thin breathable fabric that’s suited for breezy weather. The piece comes with raised collars, tonal drawstrings and a silver-toned central zip closure that accents the jacket’s beige color. Furthermore, the jacket boasts an elongated fit that ends near the knees and has a boxy fit for a slightly oversized look.
Another highlight is a button shirt that comes with a bold monochromatic print. “Converse” branding is printed throughout the garment in thin cursive font, complemented by a set of stars that nod to the label’s All-Star motif. As a final note, the shirt is cut with notched lapels for a refined look, while wide chest pockets give it a casual aesthetic. Other pieces like the logo T-shirts, water-resistant varsity jacket, half-zip pullover and velvet polo shirt round-up the expansive collection.
