Alina Baraz Announces Debut Album & Single "Morocco" With 6LACK
‘It Was Divine’ drops May 2020.

Alina Baraz has announced her debut studio album It Was Divine, releasing May 5 via Mom+Pop Music. The lengthy 16-track project is a reflection of the self-confessed hopeless romantic, focusing on recovering from heartbreak and being optimistic to fall in love once again. “This album gravitates around love and self. Losing it then finding it,” the 26-year-old singer/songwriter said in a statement. “A stream of thought, a shift in my perspective. It’s learning how to take care of myself. Nourishing what’s real. Learning how to let go. Learning how to let love in.”
To celebrate the announcement, Baraz has dropped off her new single “Morocco,” enlisting rapper 6LACK for the two-and-a-half-minute cut. The track features her velvety romantic musings laid on top of an upbeat melody, elevated with a lover’s response and affirmation.
