Cav Empt Bolsters Its Vintage Sci-Fi Aesthetic With Seventh SS20 Drop
Featuring a bevy of outerwear and mid-layer options.
Following its most recent SS20 drop in February, Japanese streetwear imprint Cav Empt has returned with a bevy of outerwear and mid-layer options doused in its signature retrofuturistic aesthetic.
Two notable highlights for this week’s drop include the Potentialities Button Jacket and two new takes on the brand’s seasonally-rotated Stripe Loose Waffle Knit. The Potentialities Button Jacket comes in bio-washed cotton fabric, featuring adjustable cuffs, slash pockets and detachable bellows, and pockets on the front. The piece is finished with a reflective graphic print on the back. For this season’s iterations of the Stripe Loose Waffle Knit, the brand has employed two color combos of either “Grey” or “Pink.”Both feature a contrasting color combo, with the top half of the “Grey” iteration employing gray and green stripes, with the lower half utilizing a darker gray and blue. For the “Pink” take, orangish-red stripes contrast teal stripes on the upper half, with the lower part employing pink and red stripes.
Other pieces featured in this week’s drop are an allover print Frame Work Jacket, a Casual Half Zip Pullover featuring blue velour taping on the neck opening and sleeves, a navy version of the brand’s Yossarian Pants, a Cav Empt online and in-store exclusive Commodity Fiction T-shirt, and more.
