Eric Andre is bringing his outlandish humor to the big screen in a new film titled Bad Trip. Co-starring alongside Lil Rey Howery and Tiffany Haddish, the movie will see former longtime director, producer, and writer of The Eric Andre Show, Kitao Sakurai, taking over as director.
Combining the best of the Jackass franchise and The Eric Andre Show, the movie will be part narrative-driven, with the majority seeing the three terrorizing random people and capturing their reactions. Fittingly so, Jeff Tremaine (who co-created and directed the Jackass and Bad Grandpa franchises), is producing the movie alongside Andre.
In the newly-released Redband trailer (viewable above), fans can catch a glimpse of the three stars embarking on a road trip, wreaking havoc on random people with outlandishly staged antics. The plot sees Andre and Howery playing two friends, further borrowing a car from Howery’s sister (Haddish), who eventually breaks out of prison in order to find them.
Bad Trip hits theaters everywhere on April 17.
