The North Face has revived its Black Series for Spring/Summer 2020, taking archival garments and inspirations as the starting point for a reimagined, minimalistic collection.

For SS20, TNF put the focus on its new breathable, waterproof material FUTURELIGHT, and used this to craft a unisex collection of city-ready pieces. Garments took from the label’s mountaineering heritage were distilled to their purest form, reimaging the Geodesic Dome and the Mountain Light jacket in new ways, while also delivering womenswear pieces such as a tight neoprene top in yellow and kick-out flare shorts.

Notable pieces from the collection include a cape-like light jacket, a white-and-black cropped jacket, and a pair of technically-indebted overalls. Take a look at The North Face Black Series’ SS20 collection in the gallery above. Those who are a TNF VIPeak Rewards Member can purchase the collection on February 25 online and in select stores, while the general public can expect a wider release a day later on February 26.

As well as launching the latest Black Series collection, The North Face has also recently worked with MM6 Maison Margiela.
