Specialty Vehicle Engineering Pushes the Yenko Camaro to 1,000 Horsepower
Only 25 units will be made.
Camaro fans will be delighted to know that its latest Yenko iteration has been upgraded to push out a whopping 1,000 horsepower.
Built by Specialty Vehicle Engineering, the 2020 Yenko Camaro comes with a fully custom-built, massive 6.8-liter Stage II LT-1 engine that pushes its horsepower output up to four digits with the help of a comprehensive cooling system with an engine oil cooler, a transmission cooler, a rear differential cooler, dual outboard radiators, and a dual-mode exhaust system. The car will be built based on either the 1SS or 2SS models offered in both coupe or convertible form, and will also use a heavy-duty version of the Camaro’s original 10-speed automatic transmission. Other upgrades include Brembo six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes, the Camaro 1LE’s front splitter and rear spoiler, GM’s very own Magnetic Ride Control system, a limited-slip differential, and reworked bushings, springs, and stabilizer bars. Its paint job can also be customized, offering 10 different colors to choose from with a wide array of racing stripe and graphic choices as well.
