Young designer Ding Yun Zhang debuted his Fall 2020 collection at London Fashion Week earlier this month, but it was his choice of custom YEEZY Foam Runners that caught everyone’s attention this season.

The Central Saint Martins designer introduced numerous pairs of YEEZY Foam Runners to the runway, appearing in custom painted versions including orange, grey, blue and black alongside the anticipated off white-hued offering. This footwear connection stems from Zhang’s time at Kanye West‘s YEEZY Season brand, something he showcases plenty of on his Instagram account giving a closer look at samples and upcoming pieces.

His aesthetic is fittingly inspired by his time at YEEZY Season, with somber colors, oversized silhouettes, light distressing, technical fabrics and more all shown on the Sheck Wes-supported runway. Take a closer look at the YEEZY Foam Runner debuted at Ding Yun Zhang’s Fall 2020 runway in the gallery above.
