Nike‘s D/MS/X sub-label has already given us conceptual creations like the Air Force 1 React and Air Max 720 Waves, but it’s now turned its attention to the new React Vision, a lifestyle-geared design that’s set to debut in “Gravity Purple.” Building on the platform established by the React Element 55 and React Element 87, the React Vision offers more soft foam, a new upper construction and plenty of bold details.

Made of sporty mesh, the top half draws inspiration from classic Nike Running silhouettes like the Internationalist and Air Span 2. Here, it’s dressed in black mesh over a white synthetic base. Branding is provided by a white outlined Swoosh and a subtle pattern inspired by poison dart frogs. Technical details arrive via luscious lavender top/bottom eyestays, tongues and heel pieces, while an extended heel clip proffers support and style in equal measures. There’s various neon green tones present as well, placed on the tabs and middle eyestays. D/MS/X branding on the tongue tab completes the top half.

Despite the appealing upper, midsoles are where the React Vision truly earns its keep. With an enhanced dose of React cushioning, it’s fittingly resplendent in size and responsive by design, as it was crafted with all-day comfort in mind. Exaggerated tooling and bold rubber lugs in high-wear areas ensure consistent durability as well.

The Nike React Vision “Gravity Purple” will release in full family sizes on Nike SNKRS Feburary 6 for a MSRP of $140 USD.
