Knxwledge Premieres New Project with "Learn / Howtokope." Singles
The follow-up to his critically-acclaimed ‘Hud Dreems’ is almost here.
Prolific wouldn’t begin to describe Los Angeles-based producer Knxwledge. Not only has he thrived as one-half of the supergroup NxWorries with GRAMMY Award winning artist Anderson .Paak, but he’s steadily been releasing projects via his SoundCloud and Bandcamp archives. Earlier this year he brought his signature lo-fi production skills to the fifth installment of his on going Meek Mill freestyle series in MEEK.VOL5_ alongside “Do You”, a nostalgic single dripped in funk and jazz inspirations. Now he returns with a new track in “”Learn / Howtokope.”
The spaced-out single flashes moments of brilliance through crisp drums and groovy bass lines in the background during “Learn”. Then mid-way through the track, a tongue-in-cheek interlude quotes a radio personality who very well could be Ebro Darden talking to a guest saying, “F*ck all that Knxwledge, I don’t want to hear that.” The guest then interjects, “It’s cool, I’ll listen to Knxwledge but I prefer trap music,” before a sample-heavy choir reverberates in a quickened pace that’s undeniably smooth for “Howtocope.”
Knxwledge’s upcoming 1988 project follows 2015’s critically-acclaimed Hud Dreems and is set to drop on March 27th via Stones Throw Records. 1988 will also be released with a deluxe vinyl edition featuring exclusive new music not available on streaming services.
Listen to “Learn / Howtokope.” and in more music news, listen to a new Travis Scott-inspired track made entirely through artificial intelligence.
