Fatlace and ILLEST x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK Invokes Porsche's Legendary "Pink Pig"

Medicom Toy collaborates next with streetwear-slash-car lifestyle brands ILLEST and Fatlace on a triple-collaboration BE@RBRICK, this time channeling a legendary Porsche race car that dominated Le Mans during its heyday.

The project, dubbed the “Pink Pig,” is the trio’s homage to the 917/20 Le Mans racer developed and built by Porsche. The “Pink Pig”‘s livery caused controversy when it entered Le Mans in 1971, not only for its wild design but also its dominance in the sport, running the fastest pre-race qualification session despite being untested beforehand.

Now, the Fatlace x ILLEST rendition wraps the BE@RBRICK in a similar design, meant to symbolize cuts of meat for a butcher. The dotted lines found on the figure intersect the cities where the ILLEST brand is represented on a global scale. Similarly, ILLEST has the same design on its ultra-fast Porsche 911 GT3RS, as seen in the lookbook above.

The Fatlace and ILLEST x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK will come in a bundle with both the 400% and 100% sizes. Official release is slated for February 13 for a retail price of $181 USD over at ILLEST. Recently, fragment design and Medicom Toy also collaborated on an antibacterial BE@RBRICK figure for The Conveni.
