Nigerian-born artist Obongjayar has released “10K”, the latest music video off his album Which Way Is Forward?.

For the visual, Obongjayar tells a seeming tale of lust and desire, with the protagonist witnessing and yearning for a life out of reach. After obtaining the means to acquire a taste, he realizes the lifestyle is not what it seems, with the consequences slowly catching up to him by the end of the three minute-short video. Directed by Akinola Davies, the tone and atmosphere of the video feels both gritty and polished at the same time, while Obongjayar’s distinctive vocals give the video a complementary appeal.

Obongjayar has been busy with his music career — not only are we given a visual sampling with “10K,” the songwriter also released the music video for “God’s Own Children” a few weeks prior which made it into our Best New Tracks roundup list. Both titles will be present on Obongjayar’s latest full length Which Way Is Forward? that landed on February 7 via September Recordings.

View “10K” above, stream his latest project, and for more music, listen to Blueface’s lates single “Obama” featuring DaBaby.
