German powerhouse FC Bayern Munich has unveiled a special-edition adidas jersey to celebrate 120 years since the club was founded. The kit takes inspiration from one of the most important season’s in Bayern’s history, when the club won its first domestic title in 1932.
Honoring that 1932 kit, the anniversary jersey features a burgundy collar and sleeve with a crystal-white base. The jersey also comes with an off-white badge and detailing, which references the minimalist aesthetic of the kit worn for the first title win. Contrasting the heritage-inspired design, adidas has also used its AEROREADY fabric for the jersey, which is specially-tailored to keep athletes dry. The whole design is a contrast to FC Bayern’s current home jersey, which comes in a bold red diamond print.
Take a look at the jersey in the gallery above. The 120th anniversary will be worn for the first and only time during FC Bayern’s match against Augsburg on March 8, and will be available from Bayern’s web store and the adidas website from February 27.
